Stenden University of Applied Sciences-Qatar received its newest batch of students for the academic year 2019-2020 at a two-day orientation programme aimed at helping them get acquainted with the new academic environment.
The students were offered a tour of the campus and provided with an opportunity to meet their lecturers, university staff and fellow students. They attended various workshops on study skills and had familiarisation sessions on using the different facilities on the campus.
During the orientation programme, a number of presentations were made by faculty members, support staff and alumni who shared relevant and important information with new students. The programme, which also included entertainment activities and games, was a rich experience for both new and senior students who participated in the events.
Stenden University of Applied Sciences-Qatar is the premier university for tourism, hospitality and international business education and offers internationally accredited and recognised Bachelor degrees in Tourism Management, International Hospitality Management and International Business. In addition to these, the university also offers Master degrees in International Leisure, Tourism and Event Management, and in International Hospitality and Service Management.
Executive Dean Dr Ivan Ninov stated that the new students at Stenden Qatar University of Applied Sciences will experience a very pleasant, international environment with a friendly and family-like atmosphere, where they will feel at home from the very first moment.
