Michael Jordan pledges $1 million to Dorian relief in Bahamas

Nassau: Michael Jordan pledged $1 million Tuesday to the Hurricane Dorian relief effort in the Bahamas. The Charlotte Hornets owner and NBA Hall of Fame member owns property there and is a frequent visitor to the area that was devastated by the Category 5 storm earlier this month.
“My heart goes out to everyone who is suffering and to those who have lost loved ones,” he said in a statement. “As the recovery and relief efforts continue, I will be tracking the situation closely and working to identify non-profit agencies where the funds will have the most impact. The Bahamian people are strong and resilient and I hope that my donation will be of help.” (AFP)
