Qatar Development Bank (QDB) has announced its strategic partnership with UBI Global in hosting the World Incubation Summit 2019, to be held under the patronage of HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in Doha.
This agreement was brought into place by Ali Amin, CEO and co-founder, UBI Global and Ibrahim al Mannai, Executive Director of Advisory and Incubation, QDB.
The World Incubation Summit is an exclusive international event which enables innovation through impactful collaborations worldwide with the theme, ‘Activate Your Innovation.’
“We are looking forward to bringing in the World Incubation Summit to Doha. This event will not only improve incubation strategies in the country through innovative discussions but will strengthen our entrepreneurship ecosystem,” said Mannai.
The event will take place in the Middle East for the first time in Doha, from November 4 – 7, 2019.
This invite-only event will bring together 300 participants from over 30 countries and include business incubators and accelerators, programme managers, corporate innovation experts, government innovation agencies, and feature dynamic keynote speakers.
The occasion will also announce the top-ranked incubation programmes as identified and assessed in the World Benchmark Study 2019 - 2020.
“The World Incubation Summit serves as a global platform for incubators and innovators and advocates support for SME’s globally from potential investors. We are excited to see it thrive and gain success in Qatar’s diverse economy, ” said Amin.
UBI Global was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 2013. The company’s goal is to aid business incubators and accelerators to improve their programmes, become more attractive to start ups, and increase their overall efficiency— and ultimately, their ability to attract investment.
QDB Bank offers financial and advisory services to develop and empower Qatari entrepreneurs and innovators to contribute to the diversification of the Qatari economy, through successful small and medium enterprises that are able to compete in global markets.
