Qatar Chamber will be organising a seminar on the role of the Qatari private sector in achieving the effectiveness and efficiency of strategic storage, on December 10, the chamber announced in a statement on Sunday.
QC Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al Thani and QC First Vice Chairman Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar al Kuwari and many board members, as well as officials from concerned governmental bodies will attend the event.
The event will also be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Strategic Storage Team, as well as a multitude of businessmen and representatives of companies working in the storage sector.
The seminar, which will be presided over by QC board member and Chair of Food Security and Environment Mohamed bin Ahmed al Obaidli, aims to review views of the private sector members and Qatar Chamber about the strategic stock.
It will discuss issues related to the role of the private sector in providing strategic storage of food and consumption goods as one of the key pillars of Qatar National Strategy for food security.
It also will highlight the Law No 24 OF 2019 concerning organising and control of strategic storage of food and consumption goods.
