The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has forecast scattered to heavy rain in the next couple of days.
“A state of atmospheric instability is expected to continue affecting the country in the coming two days due to an extension of a low pressure system over the region reaching peak on Tuesday,” the QMD said in a statement.
“Partly cloudy to cloudy skies is expected with a chance of rain of variable intensity extending gradually over most areas of the country with heavy rainfall in some areas especially on Tuesday becoming thundery at times accompanied with strong wind and dust,” it said. The QMD said the chance of rain is expected to continue until Wednesday followed by fresh to strong northwesterly wind in some areas causing a drop in temperatures. (TNN)
